10 on the 10th: October

I was not going to talk about the weather, I promise. I wasn’t, but then it changed so dramatically. Last Monday, we had the air conditioning on. Nigel turned the furnace on Thursday or Friday…just to see if it was working! We have had very cool days in the 50s (10C) and lows in the 40s (4.5C). Tonight, we actually have a frost advisory! So, I covered up my rose bushes and brought all the ferns onto the patio and covered them, too! I’m betting we’ll still have some days in the 70s (21C) before the weather well and truly turns. October is my absolute favorite month! It’s my birthday month, and I would love to...
