Taper Time
Another new weeks rolls around and we are into taper time for the SDW50. When we sat down with Paul the day before NYE and drew up a training plan it felt like we had plenty of time... Jokes on us as the event is this coming weekend! Of the seven of us that signed up mid-2023, there are three left planning to toe the start line. I feel under-trained of course but relieved to be un-injured and able to at least start the event. We completed our last 'long' run this morning (just 11 miles) and this week is about short maintenance runs, fuelling and kit checks. Plus working full time with the kids on Easter holidays still, ferrying them around to their hobbies and...
