SIA Inspiration: Diego Rivera Welcome to another SIA challenge! It’s Shelbee’s turn to host, and here’s her pick:
Since it’s Cinco de Mayo next week, Shelbee wanted to feature a Mexican artist, and because we’ve had Frida Kahlo already, she chose Kahlo’s husband, Diego Rivera. This is Dance in Tehuantepec (1928), which is one of his most famous works, in which he aimed to reproduce pure images of his home country and Mexican social life as he perceived it.
