Happy Cinco De Mayo
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Diego Rivera’s “ Dance in Tehuantepec “. I went with the green and orange color scheme, though my green is a lot brighter and my orange is a lot more subdued than in the painting (though I made up for that with my orange pin.) The cutouts on my shirt are also a nod to the geometrical shapes of the bananas and coconuts (at least I think they’re coconuts) on the top of the painting. All in all, the outfit is not a direct copy, but I’m happy with how it turned out!
