Making Waves
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by the textile art collection of Portuguese artist Vanessa Barragão . The colors are a no-brainer, and for the texture, I decided to go with this lace-trimmed top and my striped skirt to mimic the fringe in one of the sculptures. I threw on my green shoes and brooch as a nod to the touches of green in both pieces, and the crochet brooch added a bit of texture too. I’m happy with how the outfit turned out – I don’t think I could’ve done much better even with cold-weather clothes!
