Dress For the Heat – June’s Style Not Age
With the temperature hitting the 30s in parts of the UK over the last few days, flaming June has lived up to its reputation. We don’t often have to dress for the heat, and air con is a luxury rather than the norm, so a heatwave sends us into a literal meltdown. As you might have guessed, I’m not actually in the UK at the moment. I’m in Cape Verde – Boa Vista to be precise – a group of islands in the Atlantic off the coast of West Africa. Astonishingly, it’s not quite as hot here as it has been back home! But that’s a good thing. And we have the beach and the pool to cool off in. Well, I wouldn’t attempt to swim in the sea...
