Living Flash Of Light
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by the 17th-century Japanese kawari kabuto (exotic helmet) in the shape of a dragonfly. I went pretty route one with my outfit – I based it on the black and gold colors of the helmet, and there are embroideries and tiers on my top that reflect the body of the dragonfly. And of course, I had to wear my dragonfly brooch. Still, I’m happy with how it turned out, and I can’t wait to see what you guys wear!
P/S: The post title is from Tennyson’s “ The Two Voices “, in the section where he described a dragonfly, so I thought it’d be fitting.
