Katzensymphonie

Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Moritz von Schwind’s “ Katzensymphonie ” (The Symphony of the Cats). This came together pretty quickly. I knew I’d wear this blouse (the cat collar, duh) with these trousers and shoes (the gingham and the straps are to represent the lines on the music sheet). The only thing I had to decide was which of my cat brooches to wear. I was considering wearing all of them, but I’ve done that before , and anyway, the blouse is too thin to hold that many brooches. So in the end, I settled for this wooden brooch, because it’s a cat in silhouette, like the cats in the drawing....
