The Pet Deer
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Katherine Quinn ‘s illustration of Frida Kahlo and her pet deer. When I saw the painting, I immediately knew I’d wear this tunic – the green color and the embroidery are perfect for it. I paired it with my green corduroy pants for more green, and my cognac boots are for the touch of yellow/brown. I don’t have a deer brooch, but I added my ladybird brooch as both a nod to the dots on the deer and the butterflies/moths in the painting. All in all, I’m very happy with how the outfit turned out, and I can’t wait to see what everybody else wears!
