Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by George Luks ‘ “Allen Street”. I had a difficult time with this one, because the colors and shapes don’t lend themselves easily to an outfit, but then Marsha made a comment about the painting being a patch of bright colors surrounded by darker shades, which gave me an idea. In the end, I went with this white blouse (for the lighter colors) paired with my tapestry waistcoat, jeans, and lace-up boots (for the dark). The embroideries on the blouse and the pattern on my waistcoat are a nod to the details in the painting as well (the store in the center is displaying...
