Week in Review #60: Hello from Carmel

I used to absolutely dread summer — the heat, the lack of schedule, the challenge of putting together an outfit that I actually felt like myself in — but over the last couple of years it has absolutely won me over. Dare I say it’s possibly even becoming my favorite time of year? I love the slow mornings and low key afternoons and have actually come to appreciate and enjoy how mellow all of our schedules get. I love the chance to get away and travel with family and the general lack of urgency that comes most of our summer days. And I do finally feel like I understand how to dress for warm weather.
