Irises

Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Ogata Korin’s Irises screen . This was an easy outfit for me to put together – the top, skirt, shoes, and brooch were all quickly selected. The only thing that took some thinking was the handkerchief. I wanted to wear it somehow – I mean, how can I not? – but if I wore it as a neckerchief, the lovely print would not be visible. In the end, I decided to pin it to the skirt like an apron of sorts. A bit over-the-top and on-the-nose, maybe, but I’m happy with how it turned out :)) Don’t forget to send me your outfit photos if you haven’t already, and come back...
