1970s Does Art Nouveau

After wearing this brooch for SIA last week, I was struck by the Art Nouveau-esque design, so I wanted to highlight it here. These photos don’t show it very well, but the embroideries on this top are very Art Nouveau as well, which is why I paired them together. The rest of the outfit I kept simple, because I didn’t want to go too literal with the Art Nouveau/Edwardian influences. The 1970s did have an Edwardian revival phase, so it’s not entirely incongruous.
