Book Reviews: August 2026
I got some eclectic books for this month’s read, so let’s get to them!
All the Beauty in the World by Patrick Bringley:
I’ve been neglecting my non-fiction books again, so when I saw this one in the used bookstore, I decided to pick it up – I love the Met, and a memoir of a security guard there sounds really interesting. The book doesn’t go into every aspect of the Met, but it’s also a moving meditation on grief, death, and life in general (the author got a job at the Met after his older brother passed away from cancer). It really makes me want to visit the Met again and look at all the artworks mentioned in the book...
