SIA and Parent-Teacher Conferences
It is parent-teacher conference week at school. However, at our school, we teach the students to lead these meetings as well as they can. In my 4th grade classroom, my kids have practiced and use an agenda to keep things moving efficiently so that in a half-hour block, students can show their parents how well they're reading, writing, solving math problems, what they're learning in science, what their goals are, as well as give me time to discuss their report cards. Each minute is packed and I have many conferences scheduled back to back to back. Here are some Dos and Don'ts for parents... - DO come on time!
