Today I had an interesting/sad situation at work - a potential client was deciding whether she was going to hire me for an eviction case. She was supposed to come in today with her boyfriend to decide for sure if they were going to get a lawyer, but I got a call a little before her scheduled appointment time that they received at 24 hour notice to evict posted on their door. The law is probably different in every state, but in FL, once that notice is posted you can technically be kicked out by the sheriff within 24 hours after the notice is posted.
