Wearing Today: Last of Ft Lauderdale

If you think south Florida is warm in the winter then you're mostly right - the wind gusts are strong and cold, and the night temperature falls to the mid 60s. If you're heading down there in the near future don't forget a light jacket! This crane lazily plucked lizards off bushes around the pool (can you tell I spent a long time there?) It wasn't remotely afraid of people, and for a moment I even considered touching it, but that sharp beak and beady little eyes convinced me to stay put. The flight home was at 8:20 PM and Tom and I were without a car. We crashed the hotel pool and stayed there until it was time to catch the bus. Unfortunately we arrived...
