SIA Inspiration: Colette Calascione

Here’s the work of another female artist for SIA, a contemporary this time – “Illumination” by Colette Calascione : I came across Colette Calascione’s work while browsing Sweet and offbeat , a Polyvore that is very similar to SIA (it’s a big influence on my decision to start SIA with Jess, actually), and was completely blown away by her lush, surreal, Old Master-inspired paintings. It’s difficult to pick just one favorite, but I went with this one because of the rich texture and colors.
