Improving my sewing skills has been a goal of mine over the last few months so this jacket pattern (burda 8201) seemed like a good challenge to get me out of my comfort zone. Most of my sewing knowledge is leftover from childhood 4-H classes and many of my previous pieces were constructed from basic shapes; despite the "easy" rating of the pattern, creating this blazer was a daunting task. This was my first time working with set-in sleeves, interfacing and collars, and I spent a lot of time consulting various youtube videos and sewing dictionaries.
