Mount Vernon by Candlelight
The fine folks at Mount Vernon invited me to check out Mount Vernon by Candlelight this past weekend. As you can imagine, the whole experience oozes with colonial charm, complete with live period music played by groups of musicians stationed along the way. I appreciated that the evening wasn't solely confined to the walking tour. B and I stumbled upon many candlelit buildings with everything from blacksmith demonstrations to colonial dancing lessons.
