Blanket of Ghosts
As much as I love all of the wonderful things that autumn brings, October has always been an oddly emotional month for me. One of the most significant relationships in my life ended three years ago this month. Before that, I was proposed to one October, by a boy I wasn't even dating at the time. When October comes along, I often find myself listening to sad songs, like Blanket of Ghosts by Dustin Kensrue. It reminds me of being a moody teenager, locked in my bedroom and scribbling furiously in a notebook about how I was going to escape from the Canadian prairies and become famous (although for what, I was never quite sure.)
