A few weeks ago, I was eating dinner with DH and my in-laws (mother, grandmother) when we started talking about hassle-free ways to buy the bag I want from my aunt-in-law. There's a language barrier as my in-laws' English isn't great and my Cantonese is non-existent, so DH usually serves as a translator when I can't muddle my way through Mandarin (95% of the time). After we hashed out the bag buying logistics, the conversation took a slight turn: DH to me [translating for his grandmother] : What brand is the bag? Me : Coach. No reaction.
