Sometimes
Sometimes, when I arrive back home from being out and about in my car, I will pull into the driveway, turn off the ignition, and just sit. I won't immediately fling open my door in a rush to get inside. I just wait. Sometimes the radio is on, sometimes it's not. Sometimes I close my eyes, sometimes I don't. In these stolen moments, I breathe, thinking about absolutely nothing, silently processing and re-equipping myself for whatever else the day holds.
