Zipped Up

So, you guys, I’ve recently crowned a new black basic as the Most Valuable Piece in my wardrobe. It’s the  pencil skirt . The weather has been surprisingly temperate in New York over last month (in the two weeks’ time that I was actually here , ha), which hasn’t given us much of a reason to layer up just yet. I’m going through that awkward phase of transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall (and very soon, winter), which is how I believe this ensemble was born. To the office and for recent meetings, I reach for  a fitted pencil skirt , tuck in a blouse and — for today’s look in particular...
