Missing my mom this Christmas, I found myself really wanting to incorporate her vintage coat into an outfit this season. I love this fabulous wool coat and the cool silver buttons. It's a bit large on me, but I figured with the oversize coat trend, I could get away with it! I started with my favorite basic LBD from New York & Company. I added classic pumps and a vintage snakeskin clutch. And I did the messy up-do (thank goodness messy is in, since I can't seem to make a neat one to save my life) with vintage-inspired marcasite earrings. Mom would've loved the classic simplicity. Sometimes less really is more, right? ...
