Panic sewing for the ballet

So a few months ago, my ballet teacher announced she was organizing an outing to see Jewels at Boston Ballet. I dug out my green dupioni silk dress I made for my sister’s wedding in 2022, was delighted that it fit again post baby #2, and that was that. And then a week before the ballet, my brain decided that wouldn’t it be fun if I made a new dress to wear though. I had a bolt of luscious black velvet a friend gave me and shoulder bows on the brain. These were my inspo.
