Summer Birthday Party Outfits – The Thrifty Six
It was my turn to set this month’s Thrifty Six prompt, and as it happened to fall on my birthday eve, I used that for inspo. I’ve always loved having a summer birthday, so I chose Summer Birthday Party outfits for our theme. I wanted a sugary pink concoction, capturing the nostalgia of childhood birthdays when I had a big cake and fabulous Barbie dolls in showstopping dresses that I wanted for myself! (I still have all my dolls and their clothes.) How can you not feel fabulous in head to toe pink stripes and frills? Rather than a dress, I seized the opportunity to wear these matching frilled trousers and shirt. I bought them separately, quite a while apart...
